The recording studio is built around a simple principle: No two musical projects are the same, therefore every single recording session is unique. Urchin Studios understands this and it is why we structure each session around each artist’s individual requirements.
Fundamentally, this studio was created by musicians for musicians who understand what it’s like to be on both sides of the glass.

Urchin loves, and indeed only houses excellent recording equipment. That’s why we have Pro Tools HD, Neumann U87 microphones, Empirical Labs Distressors and API pre-amps. Although these things can facilitate great records, they don’t make them.

The bottom line is this: it doesn’t matter what your musical style, your commercial situation or your level of experience, Urchin Studios will listen and facilitate the recording that you want to make. This may involve anything from recording drums, arranging strings, producing a record or just leaving you to experiment. Simply talk to us and tell us what you want to achieve.

In the 5 years since it’s inception the Urchin team has done everything from record numerous first demos to produce a top ten single, and in all that time and with each artist we’ve always done the same thing: We’ve listened.
